€12k For Drogheda Roads

Over €12,000 worth of funding is to be deployed to improve roads in a part of Drogheda, it has been announced.

The funding has been committed by Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey and will be divided between Beaulieu Cross and Newtown Cross.

Works will include improvements to road signage and road markings in the area.

Termonfeckin election candidate James Carroll welcomed the funding.

He said both junctions need improvement works, and the funding will help Louth County Council make them safer for drivers and pedestrians.
