Footway Improvements Underway In Tipperary

South Tipperary County Council has invested a substantial sum of money into the upgrade of pavements in towns across the district.

Pavement repairs are currently underway on the N8 between Ballytarsna and Horse & Jockey. This scheme is expected to extend into mid-December.

On site contractors have installed a Stop/Go traffic light system near the works.

Earlier this month, N24 pavement improvement works commenced at Kilsheelan and Carrick On Suir.


Pavement works undertaken on the N24 at Kilsheelan village are expected to finish within the next fortnight.

Traffic close to the site has been reduced to one lane and delays are to be expected, according to the contractors.

Improvement works on the N24 in Carrick on Suir are currently drawing to a close.

Diversions continue to be in place for the time being.

Waterford bound traffic is advised to use O Mahoney avenue. Clonmel bound traffic is being diverted off the N24 onto Kickham Street through Sean Kelly Square onto Greystone street and rejoin the N24 at the southern end of O Mahoney Avenue.

A South Tipperary County Council spokesman said the authority regrets any inconvenience caused.
