Housing Executive residents from Drumbeg have taken part in a campaign to clean up their estate.
The clean was organised by the Housing Executive in conjunction with Craigavon Borough Council and Drumbeg Residents Association.
The campaign, which ran for a fortnight, was aimed at encouraging local residents to take pride in tidying up their area.
Residents were active in Drumbeg North where the clean up took place on 5 November and last week residents in Drumbeg South were also 'cleaning up'.
Community Liaison Officer, Connor Smith, said: "Local residents have really got behind this. There have been 'litter lifts' in other parts of the district and the Drumbeg Residents Association were keen to become involved.
"I would like to thank the Drumbeg Residents Association and the local community who have got behind this 'litter lift' as well as Craigavon Borough Council who have supplied the skips."
Tommy Sheridan, Chairperson of the Drumbeg North and South Residents Association, said that he was delighted that the local residents have become involved in lifting litter.
"We have been working closely with the Housing Executive to organise this at it has been over two weeks.
"A leaflet giving details of the 'litter lift' was posted through the doors of all the residents in the estate. We take pride in our estate and it is important for us to encourage local people to keep it tidy," added Mr Sheridan.
