Walls Awarded €4.4m Youghal HSE Project

Work has commenced on a €4.4m Health Services Executive project in Youghal, that will see the provision two 30-bed residential units.

The purpose-built scheme will be constructed by Walls Construction, after a successful tendering process.

The firm won both contracts at St. Patrick's Hospital, Fermoy and St. Raphael's Community Hospital, Youghal.


St. Patrick's Hospital, Fermoy, involves the construction of a new 30 Bed ward and refurbishment to parts of the existing hospital, while St. Raphael’s Community Hospital Youghal involves a 30-Bed Residential Unit and associated fit-out works.

Earlier this month Walls Construction started the fit out of the VHI Swiftcare Clinic at Rathcoole, Dublin following the successful completion of the VHI Swiftcare Clinic in Cork.

Both the Cork and Dublin Clinics are part of a network of Minor Injuries Unit's (MIU) being put in place by the VHI for fast non emergency care for all minor injuries and illnesses.
