The Bayview Resource Centre will ensure the continuity and improvement of services to elderly people, older people with a learning disability, and or dementia, physically disabled people and those who suffer from mental ill-health problems, so that they may continue to live more independent lives.

Mr McGimpsey said: "I firmly believe that everyone in our society deserves the right to live as independently as possible. My aim is to work to strengthen services which will support people and their families to remain in the community.
"Services such as those offered at the Bayview Resource Centre are a vital part of the high quality care and support which we strive to provide for all of those who need them within our communities."
He added: "Continuing investment in support of services such as these is essential. Without this added investment in our services the people who avail of them would have less stimulation and variety in their lives."
