The planning application includes a 130,000 square foot scheme, designed by RMJM and Irish firm Taylor Architects
The college, part of Dublin City University, hopes to construct four new buildings as well as refurbish current facilities.
Plans for the scheme encompass extensive landscaping of the college's historic grounds, as well as sports and childcare services.

St Patrick's College was founded in 1875 and sits on a 27 acre site in the Drumcondra.
More than 2,000 students train to become primary school teachers at the college.
RMJM Director Conor Pittman said the proposed design hopes to retain many of the historic features of the site.
He said: "The incorporation of the historic lime tree avenue to create a new approach to the north part of the campus is a prime example of using existing features and integrating them into an overall environmental strategy that is sympathetic to the heritage and look of the college."
Developers have suggested work on the site could start in August 2009, with the scheme completed by August 2011.
