Castlerock Station Works Confirmed

Part of a £17m NI Rail improvement scheme will kick-off at Castlerock Station next week, transport operator Translink has confirmed.

Work at the Halt is part of an investment package aimed at upgrading stations across Northern Ireland.

The work involves new signage, shelters, seating and re-surfacing - designed to create greater access for disabled passengers.


Passengers have been told ongoing upgrade work will be carried out on Friday 10 and Friday 17 October at the Castlerock stop.

Translink's General Manager for Rail Services, Mal McGreevy, assured passengers that every effort would be made to minimise noise and disruption to stations and services.

In addition NI Railways has advised passengers that the platform in the Londonderry direction will be closed on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 October, and the platform in the Belfast direction will be closed on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October.
