Ireland's Only Sustainable Building Show Proves A Huge Success

The Construction Industry's only exhibition dedicated to the sustainable building market, the Irish Sustainable Building Show and the annual Building Exhibition, attracted 9,500 visitors to the RDS last week (18 - 20 September) with a huge amount of interest shown in the Seminar Theatre where a variety of topics were covered.

The most popular discussions were on Building Energy Ratings, Energy Savings in the Home; Building Sustainable Communities; Passive Homes; Heat Recovery Ventilation and Airtightness in Modern Construction. Also an Eco Show House was on display demonstrating all of the benefits of sustainable building.

A major part of the show each year is the Product of the Show Awards and this year's winners for each Show were:

Commenting on this year's show, David Skinner, MD of Irish Services Ltd, the show organisers said: "This year's Show was a very successful event with over 220 high quality Exhibitors and a year on year increase in visitor numbers. In particular, the Irish Sustainable Building Show tapped into the industry’s huge interest in sustainable construction and reinforces its importance for the Irish construction sector."

The confirmed dates for the 2009 Irish Sustainable Building Show and Building Exhibition are 17th - 19th September, 2009
