Ireland’s largest manufacturer of G.R.P products, Canopies Ireland, has been approved and certified by The British Board of Agrément (BBA).
The award for its entire GRP Bay Canopy Range is the first in Ireland for a specialist GRP manufacturer.
It further recognises and strengthens the Canopies Ireland brand within the construction industry and offers customers the reassurance that the products they receive are of the highest standard possible.
The BBA is the UK's major approval body for construction products and installers. Their Certificates have been providing authoritative and independent information on the performance of building products for over 35 years.
Every Agrément Certificate contains important data on durability, installation and compliance with Building Regulations, throughout the UK and Northern Ireland. It is also widely sought after by Home Bond authorities in the Republic of Ireland.
The BBA's assessment involved three distinct areas - product testing, site inspections, both undertaken by the BBA's own Inspection Services team, and factory production control. The Canopies Ireland - Bay Canopy range met the required standard in all assessments to achieve certification.
"This is no small achievement. Canopies Ireland is now the only G.R.P. Specialist manufacturer in Ireland to hold such an accreditation," explained John McGurk, Managing Director. "The process has enabled us to enhance and develop our entire G.R.P. portfolio to suit a variety of industries."
Fellow team member Alison Farquhar, Sales & Marketing Director, is equally delighted: "This is quite an achievement for the company, as we've always manufactured our products to the highest standards.
"Therefore, the BBA is recognition of the hard work and commitment we have shown our customers, over the past 10 years and yes, we do offer the best quality product available, which many major builders & architects would agree with."
The Canopies Ireland team manufactures an extensive product portfolio which also includes canopies, chimneys, dormers, kiosks, environmental tanks as well as a bespoke manufacturing facility.
All of which, can be engineered and manufactured in a variety of different designs and appearances.
All of which arrive on site ready for installation, tailored to the sites requirements as well as pre-assembled complete with insulation and timber infill's.
Like the entire Canopies Ireland portfolio, the bay canopies, are available on short lead times and have economic advantages which outweigh those of traditional construction methods, combining low-cost with clear time-saving on any development site.
