NI Roads Service has announced plans to spend £250,000 on refurbishing Ballymena's Town Centre Multi-Storey car park.
It is latest phase of a refurbishment programme that has been ongoing for four years.
The car park refurbishment involves major works on all levels, including the sealing of surfaces, the application of specialist coatings to the floors and walls, minor structural repairs, and security improvements, including new roller shutter doors and CCTV cameras.
Chairman of the Town Centre Partnership, PJ McAvoy, said: "This is yet another example of the Town Centre Partnership in action.
"This car park has long been a concern for us and we are delighted with what can be achieved using a partnership approach."
Mervyn Orr, DRD Roads Service Senior Traffic Engineer, said: "This upgrading of the car park represents a significant investment from Roads Service to the town of Ballymena.
"It is almost 30 years since the car park was built and it had got to the stage where a major refurbishment was required.
"Previous work concentrated on carrying out necessary structural repairs and the replacement of the electrical systems, including the provision of new lifts and fire alarm systems.
"This latest stage in the upgrade has concentrated on improving the security of the car park and the applying coatings that not only enhance the appearance of the building but seal the concrete surfaces to improve the life span of the structure.
"The upgrade work has been in the planning stages for a significant period of time and we are pleased to have been able to deliver this comprehensive upgrade that will enhance the Town Centre and improve the car park for all users."
The Mayor of Ballymena, Councillor Maurice Mills, said: "This car park holds a strong position within the town as being the initial entry point for many of our visitors.
"The development of this now portrays the town with a much improved image and DRD Roads are to be congratulated on their financial commitment to invest in Ballymena Town Centre."
