Placed along the greater Dublin rail network, the parking spaces will generate funds that will be reinvested in services, according to Iarnród Éireann.

Commuters will be charged €2 a day or a discounted rate of €8 a week.
It has expected clamping will be introduced to enforce the new fees.
There are 4,500 available parking spaces at the 37 stations.
The revenue collected will go directly to CIÉ, with a percentage going to Nationwide Controlled Parking Systems, who manages the car parks.
The stations affected are on lines from Athlone and Longford including the stations on the Portlaoise and Coolmine Arrow routes, the Dundalk line, the Dart routes, the Arklow and Gorey lines.
