Bord Gáis Energy Supply has announced it has signed an agreement to supply and provide electricity to all 185 Paddy Power outlets nationwide.
The agreement, which is worth in excess of €1 million annually, is one of Ireland's largest retail electricity supply accounts and confirms Bord Gáis Energy Supply as a leading supplier of electricity to Irish businesses.
Fergus Walsh, SME Sales Manager with Bord Gáis Energy Supply, commented: "This is an important contract for Bord Gáis Energy Supply as we grow our electricity footprint to business in Ireland. The agreement coincides with a major marketing campaign aimed at attracting Irish businesses, large and small, to switch to Bord Gáis Energy Supply.
"This agreement with yet another leading and progressive Irish company is a testament to our commitment to delivering a high quality at prices competitive with, if not better than, what other electricity suppliers deliver."
Mr Walsh added: "Furthermore, by increasing our supply visibility, we are once again demonstrating our ability to build strong and loyal commercial alliances with leading Irish companies."
Bord Gáis' growing electricity business, which compliments its existing natural gas supply business, currently supplies leading companies such as Glanbia, CRH, FBD Insurance and Clerys with their electricity requirements.
Commenting, Paddy Power, Head of Marketing at Paddy Power group, said: "With such a large number of outlets, it was very important for us to choose the right electricity supplier. From the outset of our negotiations, energy savings, price, efficiency and reliability were top of our agenda. Bord Gáis Energy Supply delivered on all of our requirements."
