Tipperary-based Clancy Construction has signalled confidence in the industry following the opening of the first of two regional offices planned for 2008.
The new state-of-the-art southeast regional office in County Waterford is located at The Plaza, Dungarvan.
This new base, a functional addition to the firms established offices in Dublin and Cork, will be tasked with contracts Clancy Construction is currently completing, as well as future ventures.
Managing Director Patrick Clancy said: "This is an exciting time for Clancy Construction. Over the past 50 years we have retained our highly skilled craftsmen and recruited top level management who strive to maintain the highest level of quality in any of the projects or developments we are associated with."
Mr Clancy also congratulated Pat Phelan, who has been appointed Regional Manager of the new Waterford office. Pat Phelan has been responsible for many of the company's projects and developments in the South East of Ireland.
Clancy Construction, a significant employer in the Irish construction industry, with over 270 staff, is involved in a wide scope of activities.
The firm's most prominent projects include retail, leisure, conservation, restoration, schools, hospitals, as well as mixed-use developments and property management.
With an average annual turnover in excess of €60 million, the firm says this figure is set to grow, due to its reputation as a quality construction company.
Clancy's second new office, due to be opened in the Limerick area in the next few months, will further expand the firm's operations.
The event is expected to be another positive step forward, following the recent launch of a fresh corporate web site.
