Mivan, the Antrim-based specialist construction company has won three major contracts totalling around £10m for leading UK contractors in London.
The largest of the three projects is the lobby and toilet fit-out contract for Canary Wharf Contractors Ltd. The 400,000 ft sq purpose built and designed building will be completed in 2009 and will be the new offices for KPMG at 15 Canada Square, Canary Wharf.
Mivan is currently on-site and will remain for a period of around 38 weeks. The scope includes glass balustrading, lift and wall cladding, stainless steel doors and the fit-out of the toilets over 14 floors.
The construction firm has also recently secured its first major contract with Skanska UK with the award for toilet core fit-out at 30 Crown Place.
The building's envelope is a structure of some 16,500m sq of cladding using glass creating a striking curved form. Mivan has recently started on-site and will be there until September of this year.
Following its successful completion of the fit-out of the new Radisson Edwardian Hotel at New Providence Wharf, Ballymore Properties has awarded Mivan the contract for the fit-out of the Health Club and Spa at the prestigious Pan Peninsula Development in London.
The contract covers the changing rooms, gyms, pool area, reception, offices, ceilings and door supply. Work has already started on-site and will complete in October 2008.
In the last year Mivan has closed out over £20m of interiors projects in the capital. This includes an £8.5m specialist themed façade package at The O2 in Greenwich. Some of Mivan's current portfolio includes the new Shell Centre in Waterloo Road for ISG InteriorExterior and Colchester Barracks for Sir Robert McAlpine.
Mivan Business Development Director Stephen Mills said: "These projects demonstrate that Mivan is in London to stay. Mivan works with the majority of commercial contractors in the UK including Bovis Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Skanska.
"We are confident of signing more interior fit-out projects in the first half of 2008 which will push Mivan Interiors forward order book beyond £100m," he said.
