Lynnpark Developments have sought to make changes to the 10 existing units to make way for the store, which will be the first Argos in the area. The retailers began expressing an interest in the area in 2004, and have only now been able to realise the plan on the back of the Lynn development, which is plnned to open in 2009.

The six retail warehouse units will be 881 square metres; 991 square metres; 739 square metres; 718 square metres; 722 square metres; and 701 square metres. The three new shops will each be 123 square metres in size. The two-storey restaurant is 461 square metres in sized. The four office units are also over two floors and have a gross floor area of 1,112 square metres. The extension to the existing convenience retail unit includes a 215 square metre coffee shop on the ground floor and offices on the first floor.
Many more large retailers are expected to follow in the near future, with at least one hardware chain and household goods giant said to be interested.
