Adjournment In €80m Property Loans Case

An €80 million property loans case has been adjourned after the lawyer at the centre of the investigation failed to appear in court.

Lawyer Michael Lynn is now being sought by Irish police when he failed to appear before a judge again today to face questions about multi-million euro property loans.

He had been due to appear in front of a High Court Judge in Dublin, but Mr Justice Richard Johnson was forced to adjourn the case until January 14 after being told there was no sign of Mr Lynn.


The lawyer, who has been linked to an €80 million mortgage scam, is believed to be in England.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest by the President of the High Court in Dublin.

The Irish Law Society asked the judge to put the case back until early next month.

Mr Justice Johnson today said: "To alleviate the anxiety of the public, this matter should be dealt with as speedily as possible."

This is the second time that Mr Lynn, with an address in the prestigious Sandymount area, south of Dublin, failed to turn up at the High Court.
