Belfast’s Victoria Square has appointed Hugh Black as its new Centre Manager.
Managing Agents, Savills HOK, made the new appointment for the shopping and leisure venue which will open on the March 6, 2008.
Black, who moves from designer sales outlet, Junction One, said: “Victoria Square will bring a much needed retail boost to Belfast and Northern Ireland by extending the existing prime retail pitch of Donegall Place, Castle Lane, Castle Place and Royal Avenue and creating a new multilevel pedestrianised streetscape with 800,000 sq ft of retail and leisure space.
“Victoria Square is expected to attract tens of thousands of shoppers every week and will become a major retail and leisure attraction for tourists and local visitors alike.The strength of the retail offering is reflected in our anchor tenant House of Fraser and other key retailers Cruise, H&M and most recently Top Shop and I am looking forward to working with these and all our retailers to make Victoria Square the successful venue it promises to be.”

Victoria Square will create up to 3,000 full time jobs. It is expected that 17.2 million people will visit Victoria Square per year - placing it among the top ten shopping centres in the UK.
