The Protim warehouse, in Little Island, sells specialist products for treating and preserving timber.
The alarm was raised shortly after 7pm on Sunday evening, and firefighters immediately arrived to the scene to find flames already emerging from the doors, windows and roof of the warehouse.

Other fire crews were called upon, from Cobh, Midleton, Youghal, Fermoy and Carrickaline to help tackle the blaze.
Two platforms were used to fight the fire from the air, however the building partially imploded before it was brought under control.
Fire fighters say they are satisfied that residents in the vicinity were not at risk from the smoke, however, they are advised to keep their windows and doors closed.
It is understood that around ten people were employed at the warehouse and no one was injured in the fire.
