Normal Operations Resume At Louth-Based Water Treatment Plant

Following an unexpected power outage, normal operations have now resumed at the Carlingford Borehole Water Treatment Plant in County Louth.

Crews from Uisce Éireann were tasked with correcting the issue, which is now rectified, thus returning water supply to impacted homes and businesses in Cooley, Rath North, Rath South, Greenore, Lordship, Omeath, Jenkinstown, Grange, Carlingford and surrounding areas.

Alternative water supplies were made available until work was successfully completed.

James O'Hagan, Uisce Éireann Water Network Operations Manager, thanked affected customers for their cooperation.

"Uisce Éireann acknowledges the disruption that can be caused by an unplanned outage and we wish to thank customers in the area," said James.
