Works Ongoing To Eradicate Tipperary Water Supply Issues

Construction News Image
Crews from Uisce Éireann are currently working correct issues to water supply in Tipperary following the impact caused by status orange weather.

Production at the Ardfinnan Water Treatment Plant has recommenced, however, due to a burst watermain, the plant is operating at a reduced capacity.

While the majority of impacted customers have regained their supply, customers at higher elevations of the network are anticipated to not regain normal supply until works are fully completed. The impacted areas are high elevation areas in Ardfinnan and Grange.

Alternative water supplies are available today, in the form of bulk tankers, which can be accessed at Ardfinnan National School.

Colin Cunningham, Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, said: “We understand how disruptive unplanned outages are and we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused.

"We also want to thank impacted customers for their patience as we work to restore normal supplies."
