An affordable housing scheme is to be launched in Co. Mayo.
The scheme will consist of the sale of 5 homes, all of which are three bed units, based in the Golf Course Road, Westport.
The three bed homes will generally be available only for first-time buyers who do not own a home, although a small number of exceptions apply.
In order to be eligible to apply and subsequently purchase one of these homes an applicant must satisfy the eligibility criteria of the scheme.
In conjunction with Westport Credit Union, Mayo County Council's Affordable Housing Office are hosting a drop-in morning on Thursday, December 12, from 11am to 2pm.
Interested applicants are invited to drop-in to the Westport Credit Union to meet with staff who will be on hand to answer any questions about the 5 affordable units in Westport.
Applications for these units are not currently open but will be in early 2025.
