County Down headquartered GRAHAM has completed the first phase of a significant build-to-rent (BTR) development in Bonnington, Edinburgh, handing it over to developer and operator PLATFORM_.
Once fully completed, the project, which has been forward-funded by Heimstaden Bostad, will bring 464 new homes to Edinburgh, addressing a growing demand for rental housing in the city. The development includes 116 homes designated as intermediate market rent, making up 25% of the total units.
With the first phase now delivered, 365 apartments are ready for occupancy, accompanied by an extensive suite of amenities designed for modern urban living. Residents will have access to a gym, yoga studio, co-working spaces, lounges, guest rooms, private dining facilities, and a screening room. The development also features an outdoor landscaped area, children’s play zones, a riverside walk, a new park, and four commercial units. A new access road has been constructed, connecting Anderson Place and Bonnington Road Lane.
Sustainability is a core element of the project, with eco-friendly features such as electric vehicle charging points, mechanical heat recovery systems in each apartment, and solar panels for renewable energy. Located along the Water of Leith, the development also offers proximity to Leith Shore and convenient public transport links to central Edinburgh, including the city's newly extended tram line.
