Work Starts On Sofitel Dublin Airport Hotel

Construction News Image
Accor and The Arora Group have officially broken ground on the Sofitel Dublin Airport, a new luxury hotel that aims to redefine hospitality at Ireland's primary international gateway.

Set to open in late 2026, the Sofitel will feature 412 elegantly appointed rooms, an all-day dining restaurant, a tea salon, and an exclusive 11th-floor sky bar with panoramic views of Dublin Airport.

The €100 million development, led by the Arora Group, is strategically located with a direct link to Terminal 2, providing unparalleled convenience for travellers. The Arora Group, a seasoned player in the airport hotel industry and operator of the Sofitel hotels at both London Heathrow and Gatwick airports, won the opportunity to develop this franchise in a competitive bid run by daa, Dublin Airport's operator, in 2018.

Beyond guest rooms, the Sofitel Dublin Airport will boast an array of upscale amenities, including an executive lounge, fitness centre, ballroom, and eight versatile meeting rooms, making it an ideal venue for both leisure and business travellers. The project marks a significant investment in Dublin’s hospitality landscape, bringing a new level of sophistication to the airport experience for visitors from around the world.

Surinder Arora, Founder & Chairman of the Arora Group commented: "Breaking the ground today is incredibly exciting as it is the group’s first hotel development outside of the United Kingdom and is a project very close to our heart. It is a pleasure to work with the DAA for the first time and with Sofitel Hotels & Resorts on our third joint project and we are grateful for the trust they have both placed in us."
