Following a successful consultation phase, which garnered over 600 submissions, SSE Airtricity is well-positioned to allocate funding to projects that will have the most significant impact on local communities.

Speaking at the launch of the SSE Airtricity Generation Green Community Fund, Jack Chambers T.D., Minister for Finance said: "We all have a responsibility in delivering Ireland's sustainable future and social impact funds like SSE Airtricity's €5m Generation Green Community Fund will make a real difference in supporting communities and organisations in their local endeavours.

Applying to the Generation Green Community Fund
Applications are now invited from local community groups, not for profit organisations, social enterprises and local authorities across the island of Ireland. The funding round is open for applications until [8 weeks from launch date] and will be administered in line with four UN Sustainable Development Goals, across two distinct strands: Education for a Sustainable Future and Community-Led Sustainability Projects.
