Originally established in October 1912 to educate children of Hilden Mill workers, the school closed in 2008. For years, community members have advocated for its revival, and now, this cherished site is set to become a vibrant community hub. The restored building will feature a tearoom, childcare services, and a permanent heritage display celebrating the history of the Hilden area.

Lisburn & Castlereagh City Council (LCCC), partnering with the Resurgam Trust, spearheads the transformation of Hilden School into a centre for community life, blending historical preservation with modern functionality.
