GRAHAM Shortlisted For CEF Excellence Awards

GRAHAM has announced that it has been shortlisted in six categories at this year's CEF Excellence Awards.

For more than 20 successful years, these awards have celebrated the accomplishments of Northern Ireland's construction industry and its significant contributions to the economy and society.

GRAHAM has been shortlisted in the following categories:

Sustainable Company Of The Year

This acknowledges GRAHAM's dedication and efforts in decarbonising the business. The company has firmly integrated the principles of sound environmental management into its daily operations, allowing it to adopt a long-term strategic approach, experiment with emerging technologies and techniques and invest in the most effective solutions to address the climate crisis.

Notable milestones in the last 12 months include successfully securing accreditation to PAS 2080, the leading carbon management standard for construction, across all its operations, delivering the first green hydrogen powered GRAHAM site and achieving a 19% absolute reduction in Scope 1 and 2 carbon emissions.

Excellence In The Use Of Construction Software

Over a two-year period, GRAHAM IT has successfully implemented a standardised biometric solution to transform site operations and showcase the broader benefits of technology integration in construction operations, optimising site attendance management, improving efficiency and fostering stronger supply chain relationships.

Infrastructure Projects Of The Year - Transport & Utilities Infrastructure Project Of The Year Above £10m

York Street Redevelopment Project

The £12 million York Street Station Redevelopment Project for client Translink, is a fantastic example of civil engineering excellence - standing as a catalyst for regeneration to attract more people to use public transport creating a greener city for everyone.

The new train station building features fully accessible, high-quality facilities for customers and staff, a footbridge and platform canopies, cycle parking, a bus and taxi drop-off area and associated site works. It also includes the demolition of the existing station building.

Health Project Of The Year

The Maternity Unit at Royal Victoria Hospital is a new five-storey building, constructed by the GRAHAM-BAM Healthcare Partnership for The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust. Featuring modern amenities and innovative design, this state-of-the-art facility represents a significant advancement in healthcare infrastructure. It enhances the birthing experience for over 5,000 women annually and revolutionises maternity care in Belfast.

Social Value Project Of The Year

Seagahan Clear Water Tank Project

Delivered on behalf of NI Water the Seagahan project was planned, designed, and managed to deliver not only the required targets as set by Strategic Investment Board (SIB), but to engage those most removed from the workplace. The project additionally maximised social value by contributing to existing community initiatives, developing new collaborative opportunities with local partners, creating meaningful outcomes for all stakeholders and building on opportunities for growth & continuous development.

Pall Mall Press is a striking 22-storey residential tower in Liverpool. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on Thursday 3 October in Belfast.
