Essential Water Upgrade Work To Begin In Foyle Road Area, L'Derry

Construction News Image
NI Water has announced the commencement of a crucial Water Improvement Scheme in the Foyle Road area in L'Derry, with contractor Farrans Glanua set to carry out the work.

The scheme, which commences on 22 July for approximately 11 weeks, will involve pipelaying along the Foyle / Letterkenny Road (A40), from the east entrance of Coshowen, proceeding 500 metres along the Foyle Road to the junction with Lone Moor Road.

A lane closure will be implemented for the duration of the scheme, with work progressing in sections to minimise disruption. Signage and traffic management will be maintained throughout the route, ensuring local access is available at all times.

This investment is great news for local customers, as this significant improvement scheme will enhance water services, including the security of the local water supply.

The project team appreciates the co-operation of the wider public in ensuring that children do not play in or around any site or machinery. Working areas will have warning signs in place to protect the public from any hazards. The public are advised to stay out of these working areas for their own safety.
