Leak Repair Work Continues In Tipperary Town

Uisce Éireann is continuing to repair leaks to address the increased flows across Tipperary town which is causing water in the reservoir to fall to unsustainable levels.

Restrictions remain in place with pressure reduced overnight from 10pm to 6am to ensure a regular day time supply can be maintained for customers.

Uisce Éireann's Colin Cunningham said: "We understand the inconvenience that restrictions cause and we would like to thank customers for their patience. Essential leakage repair works currently underway may involve some short-term inconvenience, but traffic management in the form of traffic lights and a stop/go system will be in place to allow the works to be delivered safely and efficiently. Local and emergency traffic will be accommodated at all times.


"Customers can continue to help conserve water by not running taps needlessly, taking showers instead of baths and postponing using dishwashers and washing machines where possible during the period of the restrictions."
