The upfront cost of installing a new gas boiler can be a concern. However, grant schemes are now available, helping to make the switch to gas more affordable.
NISEP Efficiency Plus Fully Funded: This is a fully funded heating and insulation grant for homeowners in Northern Ireland. Applicants must live within the Phoenix Energy licensed area. Measures include a brand new natural gas heating system, smart heating controls, loft and/or cavity wall insulation, LED light bulbs, reflective radiator panels, and a stone stream shower head. NISEP Efficiency Plus 50/50: This is a part funded heating and insulation grant for homeowners in Northern Ireland. Applicants must live within the Phoenix Energy licensed area. Measures include a 50% grant towards the cost of a brand new natural gas heating system and smart heating controls. Plus, fully funded loft and/or cavity wall insulation, LED light bulbs, reflective radiator panels and a stone stream shower head. Carbon Reduction Grant: This grant is available to homeowners living in Northern Ireland who have never been connected to the gas network. Applicants must live within the Phoenix Energy licensed area. Measures of this grant include £400 cashback towards to cost of converting your home from oil to gas.
Affordable Warmth Scheme: This grant is available to NI homeowners and private tenants with a total gross income of less than £23,000. This grant offers a whole home solution including windows, doors, insulation, and heating upgrades. Please note this grant is capped at £7,500 towards the cost of measures.
