SSE Renewables is set to reveal new renewables contract and tender opportunities which can benefit Irish supply chain companies at an online 'Meet the Buyer Event'.
The free event which is taking place on 17 April at 10.00am will share supply chain opportunities linked to SSE Renewables' portfolio across Ireland with attendees. The company, which is progressing a pipeline of up to 1.5 GW of fresh onshore renewable energy projects in Ireland spanning wind, solar and battery technologies, is holding the event to provide businesses with insights into upcoming contract and tender opportunities associated with the company's development portfolio in the market. Attendees will also hear how companies of all sizes can take part in the tendering process.
Senior representatives from SSE Renewables will participate in the event, presenting detailed information on procurement opportunities including civil and electrical balance of plant framework, environmental services, control and instrumentation and engineering requirements, among others.
Daniel Wood, Senior Contract Manager (Onshore Ireland) for SSE Renewables said: "As a leading developer and operator of renewable energy in Ireland, SSE Renewables presents great opportunities for third-party suppliers. We have a portfolio of around 700MW of operational onshore wind generation across 31 sites in Ireland, including flagship wind farms such as Galway Wind Park in Connemara and Slieve Kirk Wind Park outside Derry City, and we’re currently building one of Ireland’s newest wind farms, the 101MW Yellow River project in County Offaly.
"We’re also progressing a pipeline of up to 1.5GW of secured and future prospect projects across the island of Ireland, and via a range on onshore technologies, including new wind, solar and battery projects. These new projects offer significant opportunity for supply chain businesses in Ireland to partner with us to collaborate on delivering the important zero carbon infrastructure projects Ireland needs to meet upcoming 2030 climate targets. We look forward to welcoming representatives of supply chain companies to this upcoming webinar so they can learn more about how they can join us in shaping a sustainable future together."
Achilles, the accreditation platform provider, is scheduled to present on the supplier registration process for those interested in bidding for projects with SSE Renewables.
