GRAHAM Highlights Work To Take Place On M25 Junction 28

County Down headquartered, GRAHAM has highlighted the works that are set to take place on the M25 junction 28 Improvements Scheme in the coming months.

In April the final bridge beam lift will take place on the project for the new Duckwood Bridge which will stretch over Weald Brook once craned into place using 1000t mobile crane. At present the team are currently building the RECo walls, concrete earth retaining walls with more than 1100 installed to date and another 1400 to install across the project. These RECo walls will form the new A12 eastbound exit slip and take traffic over the new Maylands Bridge to cross above the new loop road (M25 anticlockwise), up to the junction.


Earth-moving activities will continue in April as GRAHAM continues to shape the terrain for the construction of the new M25 B-Track Entry Slip, situated alongside the M25 and the forthcoming two-lane loop road connecting the M25 to the A12.

Structural concrete works continue across the project at Alderwood Bridge and Mayland Bridge with the final concrete deck and diaphragm pours due to be complete in April and May respectively.

In April, works will also start on the M25 clockwise between junctions 27 and 28, with the installation of the concrete foundations for the new overhead gantry.
