£350,000 Resurfacing Scheme Announced For Poyntzpass

A £350,000 carriageway resurfacing scheme for the A27 Newry Road in Poyntzpass has been announced.

The works which will begin on 25 March 2024 will extend for approximately 1,300 metres from north of junction of the Demoan Road to north of the junction with the Gambles Road.

In order to support the works a road closure will be in place (Monday to Friday) between 9.00am until 6.00pm from 25 March until 12 April 2024. This closure will not be in place from 30 March to 2 April for the Easter break.

Road users are asked to follow the signed diversionary route via B3 Markethill Road, B3 Moyrourkan Road, B3 Tandragee Road, A28 Gosford Road, A27 Newry Road and A28 Armagh Road.

The works are expected to be substantially complete by 12 April 2024.
