Works Begin On Two Omagh Play Parks

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has announced that works have commenced at the play parks in Hunters Crescent and Mullaghmore in Omagh.

The projects are part of the Council's ten-year Play Park Strategy, currently in its third year of implementation. The works will include the upgrade of existing equipment and the provision of new equipment and the provision of new equipment to provide inclusive play facilities in all four play parks.


Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O'Reilly, said: "I am pleased to see the continued roll out of the Council’s Play Park Strategy across the District to ensure our play parks are sustainably managed and developed. The improvement works at these two play parks will greatly benefit the residents in the local area and encourage our young people to get outdoors and be active."

The Council is dedicated to ensuring that our children and young people have optimal opportunities for a healthy, active lifestyle, benefiting them physically, mentally, and emotionally. Improving and providing play facilities is a key aspect of achieving this goal.
