FK Lowry Supports Armagh International Road Race

FK Lowry Piling has announced that its continued its association with local Athletics Club Armagh AC at the recent Armagh International Road Race.

Now in its 33rd year the event accommodates Athletes from all over the World to what is arguably the fastest Road Races in the World.

FK Lowry Piling was sponsored Race six, the Boys 1400m (Born 2014/2105), and the company's Business Development Manager, Mark McKeown, presented awards to the top 10 finishers.

Mark Mc Keown, FK Lowry’s Business Development Manager said: "We’re delighted to be able to support this local Road Race Event. The Event brings together over 1,100 Children including Special Needs Children to race on the Mall here in Armagh City and FK Lowry look forward to sponsoring the event again in the future."

In the Elite Male 5K , 17 athletes ran under 14min with 130 athletes in total completing in sub 15 mins with Finnish Athlete and current World 3000m Steeple Chase Champion, Topi Raitenin securing the win.

In the Elite 3K Female Race, 50 athletes finished in sub 10 mins with Sale Harriers Megan Davies taking the win in 09:19.

Also, there was a complete Junior Race Program with 11 individual races for primary school-aged children held on the famous Mall in Armagh City.
