Causeway Coast And Glens LMP Supports Engineering And Manufacturing Roadshow

Causeway Coast and Glens Labour Market Partnership (LMP) supported an engineering and manufacturing roadshow inspired and informed students.

Hosted by GEMX, an advocate for fostering talent in the manufacturing and engineering sectors, the event took place at NWRC Limavady Campus. The event was attended by over 350 Year 10 pupils from schools across the Borough and beyond.

The interactive roadshow brought together 14 manufacturing and engineering companies and showcased innovative teaching areas within NWRC. Students were able to engage with industry professionals and learn about potential career paths.


Causeway Coast and Glens LMP part funded the event and will also provide funding towards the follow-up competition, which will be an Experience Day at Terex, Campsie.

Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Steven Callaghan attended the event and said: "This roadshow was a wonderful opportunity for students to get hands-on with a range of activities and gain invaluable practical knowledge.

"It also allowed them to meet people working in the engineering and manufacturing sectors. These young people are the next generation of talent and events like this provide invaluable insight that will help inform their future career trajectories."
