Farrans Announces Christmas Donations

Construction News Image
Farrans has announced that it has made a financial donation to an organisation in each of the regions it operates in this Christmas.

The organisations were selected during an employee-led voting process in 2022, by providing a donation to each again. The company has donated to the following organisations:

Scotland – Children's Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS)

For over 30 years CHAS has been supporting babies, children, and young people with life-shortening conditions. This includes palliative care, family respite, and support – through hospices, homecare services, and hospital presence.

Ireland – St Vincent De Paul

The Society of St Vincent de Paul supports people in poverty and disadvantage by providing a wide range of services for vulnerable people through local offices, shops, resource centres, housing, day-care and holiday schemes amongst other things.

Northern Ireland – Air Ambulance NI

Working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, Air Ambulance NI is a charity that provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service. The team is needed on average twice per day and can be airborne in about five minutes to provide intervention at scenes that can be the difference between life and death. As a local charity that relies so much on fundraising in aid of the service, your support is crucial.

England- Cancer Research UK

The charity has been running for 20 years and specialises in funding scientists, doctors, and nurses to help beat cancer sooner. The organisation also provides cancer information to the public. Every step it makes towards tackling the impact of cancer relies on every pound donated. It also stages various national fundraising initiatives and events.
