Farrans has scooped Engineers Ireland CPD Employer Of the Year Award 2023 at the Engineers Ireland National Conference in Dublin.

Each year, the award is presented to an exemplary CPD accredited organisation and recognises the use of best-practise CPD initiatives in achieving organisational standards.

The award is supported by the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science and sponsored by Enterprise and IDA Ireland.

Stephen McCaffery, Commercial Director at Farrans Construction, said: "It is very important for us to provide clear career opportunities for all of our employees. Winning the Engineers Ireland award is a brilliant success for the business. We invest heavily in our training and development and it is fantastic to have that recognised with such a prestigious award.

"We have been a CPD accredited employer with Engineers Ireland for over 10 years now, aligning our graduate development programme, Farrans Foundation, with the skills needed for Chartership. This award gives us a huge stamp of approval at a time when we are recruiting for our next intake of graduate and placement talent. People want to work for an employer which provides growth, development and training opportunities, which has access to mentors who will provide learning opportunities and that delivers a good balance between work and life. It's great to hear that Engineers Ireland is confident that we are ticking those boxes."
