The judges praised Mr Reid's ability to problem solve and communicate with stakeholders and other departments. They also commended his charitable work and his clear longer-term goals towards his career development.

Joining Charles Brand in 2020 as a Civil Engineering Apprentice, Mr Reid displayed a clear interest in the profession and a natural ability to use his own initiative and problem solve.
Throughout the first three years of his seven year apprenticeship, Mr Reid has been given the opportunity to develop his skills whilst on the knowledge he gained at university.
