Essential Works Continue On Water Network In Drogheda

Essential works are continuing on the water network in north Drogheda.

Uisce Éireann has teamed up with Louth County Council to carry out the works which are taking place each night from 10pm to 5am.

Whilst the works are ongoing, customers in North Drogheda including Drogheda town centre, Mell, Moneymore, Yellowbatter, Greenhills, Newtownstalaban, Greenbatter and the surrounding areas may experience temporary low water pressure especially those on higher ground or at the end of the network.


Uisce Éireann has said that crews will make an effort to minimise disruption and complete the works as quickly and safely as possible.

Mark Murray, Uisce Éireann said: "We understand that this type of work can be inconvenient and working in partnership with Louth County Council, we will make every effort to minimise any disruption that these necessary works may cause."

The essential works are to be complete by 18 October.
