Irish construction company, Sisk, has announced that it has been recognised for its adoption of the international standard for sustainable procurement, ISO20400.

The company has also exceeded the baseline score by over 25 per cent.

Sisk leadership identified the adoption of ISO20400 as a way of supporting its sustainability goals and the company's vision 'to be the best at creating value for customers, shareholder and people'.

By integrating ISO20400, Sisk's Sustainability Roadmap 2030 has been accelerated as the business focuses on strengthening its sustainability ethos and actions.


Earlier in the year after a review of the new or revised sustainable procurement practices, it was announced that the ISO20400 working group had reached a score of 86 per cent, which was an improvement on the baseline score of 60 per cent.
