Boil Water Notice Lifted In Tipperary

A 'Boil Water Notice' for consumers on the Glenary Public Water Supply has been lifted with immediate effect.

The notice was originally issued due to planned industrial action, arising from a dispute between the Unite Trade Union and 12 Local Authorities.

The notice was implemented to safeguard the well-being of approximately 10,564 customers who receive water from the Glenary Public Water Supply. This includes residents in various parts of Clonmel Town centre and its neighbouring areas such as Cashel Road, Cahir Road, and Ring Road. Additionally, the Kilcomma/Finger Post regions in Co Waterford were also covered by this protective measure.


All consumers on the Glenary Public Water Supply can now resume normal use of the water supply for drinking, food preparation and brushing teeth.

Unfortunately, Uisce Éireann had no choice but to put several Boil Water Notices in place to protect public health. Uisce Éireann and Tipperary County Council wish to thank everyone for their patience, co-operation and assistance during this Boil Water Notice and we greatly regret any inconvenience caused to homes and businesses in the community."
