Essential Maintenance Works Underway At Water Treatment Plant In Louth

Essential Maintenance works are underway at Collon Water Treatment plant in Louth.

Uisce Éireann is working in partnership with Louth County Council to carry out the works.

While these works are underway, customers in the following areas may experience low pressure and/or water outages until 12.30pm today, Friday 23 June: Philipstown, Tinure, Whiteriver, Lismanus, Priestown and surrounding areas in Co. Louth.

Following the completion of the works, it can take two to three hours for normal supply to be fully restored to all areas as water refills the network.

Operations Lead with Uisce Éireann, Michael Cunniffe, said: "These maintenance works are necessary to continue to provide a safe supply to Collon and its environs. Uisce Éireann understands the inconvenience when maintenance works are carried out and thanks customers for their patience while we complete these essential works."
