Further Consultation Arranged On SLNCR Greenway

An additional period of consultation has been scheduled on the development of the Sligo, Leitrim, Northern Counties Railway (SLNCR) Greenway.

Leitrim County Council in partnership with Sligo County Council, Cavan County Council, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, and under the auspices of Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and Department for Infrastructure (DfI) are working on the scheme.


Following a technical IT issue, a further period of public consultation on the study area and constraints is planned from Monday 17 April to Monday 15 May 2023.

A public consultation was held on the project between 24 January and 10 February 2023, including in-person events.

Due to a technical IT issue associated with the 'Contact Us' tab on the www.slncr-greenway.com website, a number of digital submissions were not received during the Public Consultation period which ended on 10 February 2023. This error has been rectified and the Council requests that submissions previously made through the 'Contact Us' tab of the www.slncr-greenway.com website are resubmitted.
