Construction News Image
An important wastewater project is continuing to move forward in Celbridge, Co Kildare.

Led by Uisce Éireann, this scheme involves the construction of 5kms of new sewers along the Dublin Road (R403), on the east side of Celbridge, stretching from Celbridge town and into South County Dublin. The project also includes essential upgrades to Primrose Hill Pumping Station and the upgrade of the sewer network along the Hazelhatch Road (R405) and Tubber Lane Road.

Two road closures will be implemented in the coming weeks to facilitate the project.

Road Closure 1 will commence in the early hours of Monday 03 April and will impact the Barnhall Road (R404). To safely carry out the works at Youngs Cross Junction, a road closure will be necessary on the Barnhall Road (R404) with diversions in place via the R403 (Dublin Road) & Lucan Road. Local access will be maintained for local residents, businesses and emergency services for the duration of works. Uisce Éireann expects this section of works to be completed the evening of Friday 07 April 2023.
