Kier McAvoy Joint Venture (JV) has won a spot on new Crown Commercial Services' (CCS) new £10bn Offsite Construction Solutions (OCS) framework.
The JV has been appointed to all Lots of the framework, which will run for the next four years with the possibility of extending for a further three years.
The framework provides public sector organisations with all elements of offsite construction solutions, from design, fabrication, construction and installation, through to direct access to manufacturers.
The JV offers McAvoy a great opportunity to work alongside Kier and consolidate their presence in existing markets, and expand into new ones as they continue to innovate and deliver excellence.
The successful Lots are:
Lot 1: Built Estate including Education
– Lot 1.1 £0m > £15m Purchase and £0m > Hire 3D Turnkey Solutions
– Lot 1.2 £15m > 3D Turnkey Solutions Purchase
Lot 2: Lot 2.1 Healthcare Purchase and Hire of 3D Turnkey Solutions
Lot 4: Justice – Lot 4.1 3D Turnkey Solutions
Lot 5: Defence – Lot 5.1 3D Turnkey Solutions.
Ron Clarke, CEO, McAvoy, from the Kier McAvoy consortium, said: "This is a significant milestone for McAvoy, and we are delighted to be combining our leading-edge, high-quality precision manufacturing capabilities with Kier's scale and expertise.
"We have been innovators and market leaders for more than 50 years. Our team is firmly focused on delivering consistently high-quality product and customer service across the UK and Ireland.
"With significant experience of MMC we are very much focused on helping our clients meet their ESG goals. We look forward to working in partnership with Kier to deliver on that commitment within the OCS framework."
Stuart Togwell, Group managing director at Kier Construction, added: "Building on the ambitions of the Construction Playbook of using MMC and offsite solutions to drive improvements is a core imperative for Kier, and securing a place on all Lots means we are well-placed to support the delivery of vital new infrastructure in the UK.
"Our forward-thinking JVs with McAvoy and Metek will allow us to provide more capacity and high-quality end-to-end solutions for our public sector clients and to continue to deliver the best value through innovation across the wider industry."
