Necessary hedge cutting works will take place along the popular route. Section of the walkway between the Pa Healy Rd Bridge to the University of Limerick Boathouse will be closed between Monday 09 January 2023 and Friday 20 January 2023.

Separate sections of the walkway will be closed off at different times so as to minimise disruption to walkers and cyclists. Limerick City and County Council will try to keep as many sections open as possible but some will remain closed, while the maintenance works are ongoing.
Works will only take place Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm so the walkway will be open to the public outside of these hours.
