Armagh Roadworks To Begin Next Week

A series of roadworks is set to get underway in Armagh city next week.

Approximately £584,000 is being invested in the resurfacing scheme on Grange Blunder Road. These works will extend for 3.2 kilometres from the junction with the Armagh Road to the Loughgall Road junction and includes resurfacing with upgrading of road drainage.

Work will begin on Monday 05 December and is expected to reach completion by Friday 27 January 2023.


To help ensure the safety of those using the road and to facilitate the works, it will be necessary to operate a road closure, weekdays, excluding evenings and weekends, from 8am to 5pm from 05-23 December and after the Christmas holiday period from Wednesday 04 January 2023 – Friday 27 January 2023.

An alternative route will be signed with traffic being diverted via A29 Armagh/Moy Road and B77 Loughgall Road.

Local access for residents and emergency services will be maintained although some minor delays may be experienced.  

Road users are advised to allow extra time for their journey and to follow the alternative routes which will be clearly signed on the approaches to the closure.
