Dublin City Council has selected a design for the project, following a process in which the architect-led design team assessed the options.
Based on the information provided, the recommendation from the design team was to progress with a revised Option 3A, at an estimated cost of €40 million.
This option will include:

• Full demolition of the existing stadium.
• New four-sided stadium with a capacity of 7,880 with 5,880 seats and 2,000 terracing.
• The new stadium will include a number of upgraded club facilities and all relevant match-day accommodation to meet the criteria of League of Ireland.
• Area identified for community facilities which will be housed in a separate facility on the site.
• Enhancement of public domain to link in with the proposed adjacent public plaza.
• Pitch will be reoriented to north/south position.
The project team will reengage with all relevant stakeholders and the local community as they complete the preliminary design and prepare for the planning process.
The revised programme for the development sets out intentions for the construction phase to be complete in March 2026.
