Leading NI EV Infrastructure Firm Announces New Partnership

Northern Ireland electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure firm Weev has announced a major new partnership.

The company is partnering with leading hotel group, McKeever Hotels, installing and managing EV charging stations at all locations in NI and County Donegal.

The installations represent the next step in McKeever Hotels' plans to drive sustainability throughout the group and forms part of Weev's £20 million investment in a new public EV charging network, which will see 1,500 new charging points installed over 350 locations across Northern Ireland before the end of 2024.

Thomas O'Hagan, Chief Commercial Officer at Weev said: "We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with McKeever Hotel Group as part of Weev's mission to make EV charging more accessible than ever before.

"Creating a charging network for drivers that is fit for purpose, maintained, and supported locally is a top priority for Weev, and working together with McKeever Hotel Group we will continue to support this region in its transition towards a greener, more sustainable motoring future.

"We look forward to completing this next phase in our EV charging rollout and continue to progress plans to install even more chargers at hotels, shopping centres and other convenient and strategic local locations."

McKeever Group operates five hotels across Northern Ireland and in Donegal, including Corrs Corner Hotel, Newtownabbey, The Dunsilly Hotel, Antrim, The Adair Arms Hotel, Ballymena,The Dunadry Hotel, Antrim and Dillons Hotel, Letterkenny.

McKeever Hotel Group recently announced several sustainability milestones including the installation of LED lighting across all hotels, a reduction in landfill waste to zero per cent and membership of Sustainable Travel Ireland which aligns with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council.
