Water refilled the network overnight and normal supply has now restored to most customers. Some customers in Ballymakenny Road and those located on higher ground and extremities of the network may continue to experience temporary low pressure and outages as water refills those parts of the network.

Michael Cunniffe, Irish Water, said: "The repairs were conducted as quickly and efficiently as possible to minimise disruption to the area and restore water for all customers. We understand the inconvenience unplanned disruptions can have on customers and we appreciate your patience as we worked to repair the burst and return the water supply to homes and businesses as quickly as possible."
